Ok, now I understand what you are trying to do I think I can explain what is happening.ģDSimED and TrkMaker do not generate the same cross-section as Papyrus did because the equation for that curve is unknown. And 3dSimEd and TrkMaker are the only utilities that I have found useful for exporting to some sort of Autodesk format.
#3DSIMED HOW TO MAKE OBJECTS INTO MODEL TRIAL#
My 3DS Max trial only has a week left, I can't export it to DXF in either 3dSimEd or Sandbox, and no matter what I do, the track won't look nice for either rFactor or NR2003. I can't realy make any progress on the track. It doesn't build non-flat curves properly. See how the mesh on the inside of that corner is steeper than the corner actually is? And see how the mesh on the outside of the corner is flatter that the corner actually is? That's the problem I'm having with 3dSimEd and TrkMaker. Those snapshots were taken in sandbox, the mesh was done in 3DS Max trial based on the geometry of the edge of the track. Here is the same mesh (different portion) on the inside of one of the other non-flat curves. Here is a portion of the mesh on the outside of one of the non-flat curves. On curves that are not flat, the inside of the curve is steeper than it should be while the outside of the curve is flatter than it should be. On a flat curve, and on a straight hill, 3dSimEd and TrkMaker build the track geometry perfectly.
